eloved, if someone that you really love tells you something, and you
know them to be strongly honest, you readily accept and believe that,
don’t you? That is good! May you have many more of those people
as a part of your life. Sometimes since your Heavenly Father is not
physically present or reachable in the flesh it is more difficult to
negotiate with Him and take His word at simple face value. This must
change dramatically in the future for you and your loved ones. The
Bible describes your Father as someone who “cannot lie.”
(Titus 1:2) This is true! I will not allow myself to be any part of a
lie, or even a half-truth! When I speak to you, you can be sure that
I will follow up that word with action on your behalf. The Father
stands behind every word of promise that He sends your way. What is
my point? With a world full of deceivers, self-promoters and
self-centered people, do not judge your Lord in the light of these
people or in the light of the wounds that they have caused you. It is
a mistake that is simple to make. Perhaps you would like to pray the
following toward heaven: “Father, I am so thankful that you are
not a “. . . man, that you should lie.” (Numbers 23:19) I
have sometimes made the mistake of saying, “I just don’t
trust anybody!” Child, I am one of those “any bodies.”
I am real, and very much involved and interested in your life as it
transpires moment to moment. I filter the very air that you breathe.
I command your heart to beat each time it pounds in your chest. I am
“. . . not very far away from any one of you (us).” (Acts
17:27) I am your Father, not just a great God far off in the distance
on an exalted throne. I am here, and I love you ten thousand times
more deeply than anyone else on earth loves you! Now, with that said,
I want you to think to yourself, “I believe and trust your word
to me Father. When you speak to me, “let every mouth be stopped
in your presence, and let every man be a liar and let God be the
truth.” (Romans 3:4) “Your word to me is cherished in my
heart, when you speak Father I will stop what I am doing and say,
“Yes, this is my Father speaking. I will gladly listen and
accept and obey what you are saying to me.” “I will not
put you in the same group with my friends and enemies. You alone
deserve my worship and praise! I can depend on your word to me. Thank
you, Father!”
Prayer
Thank you Lord Jesus. I am now hiding your precious words to me in my heart of hearts, “. . . so that I may not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11) Lord, bring back your hidden manna from my heart when I need to hear from you. I will accept and rejoice in every word from your holy mouth to my ears, in Jesus’ name, amen!
