OVERCOMING CONDEMNATION THROUGH CONFESSION

eloved of the Lord, how in the world are you going to resolve the guilt of your past? You seem to still have those nagging thoughts and doubts about whether you have truly resolved the sins of the past. Child, you must not allow thoughts and ideas which are from the enemy to control you. Here's what you can do: Meet the thoughts head on. Title the thoughts and doubts and spell out their content. For instance, "I did something so bad that I cannot be forgiven for it!" Now find a good Scripture verse that fights powerfully against that thought. How about this one: (Isaiah 53:6 NKJV) "All we like sheep have gone astray: We have turned, everyone, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." Say, "Father, you laid on my Lord Jesus this iniquity (sin), how can I bear it when Jesus did that himself so wonderfully for me? Will I take my burden of sins off His shoulders and put it back on mine, I don't think so!" As you quote this passage over and over, let it sink down into your heart and spirit. Many of the promises of God are taken in lightly, thus, they have no lasting effect in our own mind. If you want to memorize something, you repeat it over and over till it is yours. Do the same with the word of God's promises to you. The object is for you to replace the power of the evil words that are coming to you to condemn you with the overwhelming force of the word of God which is sharper and deeply penetrating. Wow! That's sharp and cutting! Let the word of God cut deeply into your conscience and subconscious mind. It really works! You have been too passive in the past and your mind has often been like a pair of swinging doors--- too much is taken in and accepted without your fighting to resist. Get strong! Get powerful in the mighty word of the Lord, and you will win the war with Satan every time! Now, hear this: There is true forgiveness for all sin in the name of Jesus. Please do not get caught up in monotonously repeating thousands of confessions and repentances. Just reach out and sincerely commit your past to the Lord, He wants you to have a brand-new day in His forgiveness and love--- receive it child!

Father, I am going to get over this guilt and condemnation of my past. Help me to do so sooner than later. I know that I slander your promises and the precious blood offering by continually beating myself up over the past. I commit it to you. I release myself from this bitter prison of a refusal to forgive and self-torment, in Jesus’ name, amen!
