TAME THE TEMPER BY THE POWER OF GOD

hild, have you been fighting a battle with your temper that never seems to come to victory? Do you go along for a while holding it in, and then you explode? Are you sorry and repent repeatedly with true discouragement? It’s time for you to deal with this realistically. Why are you so angry? In your case, it may well be since you are a “man-pleaser” filled with a drive to make everybody happy and fearful of what they may think of you if you don’t. This is a war that you will never win. It is also a weakness from the enemy which leads you to sin. Here is how you can repent: “Father, I am too fearful, afraid of offending people, needing to make sure that everybody’s feelings are protected. I cannot do this any longer Father it destroys my peace and causes me always to be on edge, nervous and fearful. Forgive me and set me free in the name of Jesus. I will from this day become a “God-pleaser” rather than a “man-pleaser. Deliver me from this sin Father in the name of Jesus, I repent, amen!” Now you should feel and think better. Perhaps your anger is from the sin of impatience. A patient mind and heart are one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps you do not trust others that they will do something correctly, so you would rather do it yourself than be patient and kind to them. This is sin on your part! You must repent of this pride in your heart. Here’s how to do it, pray? “Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus I am filled with pride and self-sufficiency. I want things my way or no way! I am truly sorry, and I repent of this evil attitude in the name of Jesus. Forgive me Lord and lead me to a better place of loving patience and surrender to bless others with kindness and true patience, in the name of Jesus, amen!” Did you really mean those words of your prayer? Then repeat them several times again until they sink down into your heart. Well child, you are truly growing in your faith in Christ Jesus. If you continue to allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to you these weaknesses which lead to sin and frustrations, and if you truly repent and turn away from them your Father will build in your heart and spirit the true nature of the Lord Jesus. Someday this growing nature of the mind and heart of the Lord Jesus will become internalized and second nature to you. How do you like that? Keep up the good work of surrender and brokenness, and you will be glad for it soon. I love you, and send you my blessings from heaven, your Father.

Father, you always know that which is best for your children. You have my invitation for you to examine me and cleanse me and transform my attitudes so that I may become less and less like the carnal person that I have been, and more and more made in the image of the Lord Jesus. For this I give you praise and thanksgiving, in Jesus’ name, amen!
