THE BLOOD CLEANSES US AND EMPOWERS US TO HIS SERVICE

hild of Righteousness, what do you think of that title? Do you ever feel helpless and a bit discouraged when you think about living a holy, pure life before the Lord? You easily identify with the filth and uncleanness around you, and even some filth that seeks to attach itself to you. It is discouraging to pray to be clean and holy and then to be attacked by uncleanness repeatedly. Listen, child of God, I do not expect you to live out your entire life of holiness and purity in one day. First you begin with a request to your Father. It can go like this, "Father, I want to be clean, and I want to have” "clean hands and a pure heart" (Psalm 24:3) as the word of God instructs me, but I am so attacked by the filth and uncleanness in the world. The evil one uses so many ways of polluting my mind and spirit that I wonder at times if it really is possible to walk in holiness and cleanness in this present world. If you will be with me, and if you will strengthen me day by day, my goal O Father is to allow more and more of you and your love and cleansing power to become a part of my life each day. Father, I will slowly but surely learn to love what you love and hate what you hate. Wash me in the precious blood of Jesus. Teach me to treasure that blood and the love behind the death at Calvary so highly that I will believe it worthwhile to walk under the shadow of the cross in the blood sprinkled way to become clean and pure in mind, body and spirit. Father, I cannot do this alone, but if you will be with me and strengthen me, and point me to the cross, I will surrender my body, as the “temple of the Holy Spirit.” (I Corinthians 6:19 NKJV) Since you tell me that it is possible to walk holy and be clean, I take you at your word and will expect you to bring this to pass in my life. I look forward to the day when my thoughts will be filled with peace and cleanness, and I will deeply and joyfully seek to walk in holiness as a reward of your righteousness in my life." Wow! What a prayer! Child of the King, all these things contained in the above prayer are truly available to you. Reach out and believe. "With God all things are possible to those who believe."(Mark 9:23) Love, your Eternal Father in Heaven
