SURRENDER INTO THE EVERLASTING ARMS

February 2

C
hild of God, are you tied in too close to your own earthly body? That is, do you take too much concern for your physical health? This happens a great deal with people who have not settled the issue of the fear of death. When you take comfort in the Lord and with Paul the Apostle say, "If I live, I will live unto the Lord, and if I die, I will die unto the Lord," (Romans 14:8) you will find a peace in the idea that life and death and the reward of passing from this life to the next is eternal life and peace in the presence of your Father forevermore. Here's what you can do: pray and confess, "Father, I have been fearful about dying and having poor health. I know Lord that that fear has opened evil doors of infirmities against my body and mind. I ask you now, in the wonderful name of Jesus to set me free from this evil fear. I am not going to die, but when I do die, I will die in the Lord! Father, this thought is not an evil thing, it is a blessing!" Beloved, it is through your confession of life in the Lord Jesus that negates and turns away sickness and infirmities from your doorway. Confess, "As a Child of the King, my body is the “temple of the Holy Spirit.” (I Corinthians 6:19) I surrender my "temple" only to be indwelt by the Holy Spirit of my Lord God. I renounce any invading enemy of evil, and command it to leave my body through the name of the Lord Jesus." Further, child of God you should allow others to anoint you with oil and pray for you according to the James 5 formula. It is there in the Bible, make use of it. Remember the commandments of the Lord Jesus, your Father cares more for you than the sparrows of the air or lilies of the field that He abundantly provides for each day. Do you believe this? Then get up from where you are, repent for paying too close attention to your body, endangering yourself with making it an idol to you. It is made of clay and it is only a temporary shelter or housing for you. You will be given a new and perfect heavenly body when you go over to the other side. Great news!

Prayer: Father, even if I take extreme measures to preserve and enrich my body, I will not allow the care for it to become an obsession (fear based) or an idol to me. Forgive me Savior, and I will give greater attention to heavier matters of God which I face before me today. I bless you Lord. You know what is best for me, in Jesus’ name, amen!
