ost prized of your Father, in many families, certain children may
tend to feel more prized than others. Some children do not think that
they are as cherished or wanted as others in families. Do you have
that problem? If this is true, then your Heavenly Father wants to
remind you that you are "the apple of His eye."(Psalm 17:8)
You are "a royal priesthood, a holy nation."(I Peter 2:9)
You are also, the result of much planning and thought in a loving
attitude which went into the creation of you! Do you believe this? It
is so! Into the lives of many of my children the Evil One has sown
insecurities and even false statements which follow many to the last
days of their lives. Indeed, you may not have felt that you were the
most loved or cherished person in your family. However, in your
Father's household your "name is written in the palm of His
hand."(Isaiah 49:16) Your hair color and eyes, and the size and
shape of your hands or body is greatly cherished and loved by Him.
You may look at yourself and say, "I am so ugly and
unattractive, how can anyone love me?" These physical qualities
are unimportant to your Father. You may have handicaps to overcome
which may be far greater in the spiritual realm than in the physical.
Your physical body lasts only a short while. Then the child of God is
given a new perfect body in heaven to inhabit forever! Rejoice in
your Father, and in His perfect plan for having brought you into the
world! You have the privilege of calling me "Father, Lord and
Savior." What a blessing! Give thanks!
Prayer
Father, you are my blessing! I have focused on what I do not have rather than on my great salvation and other blessings uncountable. Forgive me Lord. Lead me to a higher place than I now inhabit, in the name of the Lord Jesus, amen!
