PRAISE GOD AND CALL ALOUD UNTO HIM

hild of God, what's this thing of the dark gloominess and depression
that's been bothering you lately? Sometimes it takes the form of pure
boredom. Other times it becomes quiet restless anger for no apparent
reason. You want to turn to an outside source for comfort. What do
you do? You pop a pill and hope for the best. Child of God, don't you
know the spiritual alternatives? One of them is to praise your
Father. That's right, open your mouth and give Him praise out loud.
You say, "what if I don't feel like it?" I say, it is your
feelings that you have bowed down to for too long, and it is time to
offer "the sacrifice of praise" (Hebrew 13:15) to your Lord
whether you feel like it or not! If you do this as an antidote and if
you persevere a little while you will get a breakthrough! Now, "call
unto the Lord, and He will answer you, and He will show you great and
wonderful things that you don't know about." (Jeremiah 33:3
NKJV) Try it like this, "Father, I call upon the great name of
the Lord Jesus. I call unto you tear open the heavens if you need to
and come to me amid this depression and trouble!" You will begin
to feel better, just keep calling unto the Lord out loud! I remind
you of another thing, pray with a positive note. Don't talk "worried"
talk. Speak to the Lord in prayer with thanksgiving. Thank Him for
the heavens, the earth, the angels, the flowers, food and health and
for His blessings. I say this to you Child of God, if you would spend
the time in prayer and praise offerings and reading the word of God
for encouragement, the black clouds would quickly vanish away, and
the sunshine of your Father's love will break through in to the
innermost parts of your soul and mind. Do this, and you will not live
one day to regret it. Beloved remember, "In all things give
thanks."(I Thessalonians 5:18) This means that when things are
not going well, and they seem to be closing in on you, you can say,
"Father, you promised me that “you are amid everything
happening to me working something good on my behalf.” (Romans
8:28 NKJV) I believe you and I will not lie down and give up as I am
tempted! Finally, child of God you can get up from where you are and
go outside or change the direction of what you were doing when the
sadness or depression comes upon you. It seems to work wonders when
you change your location or focus. You stop focusing on the negative,
and focus on the goodness, kindness and love of your Heavenly Father.
Rise up child of God and go in another direction with the help of the
Holy Spirit.
Prayer
Father, you know how to capture my attention with the good things of God. I give you permission to do this at any time that I am not rejoicing in you and calling upon your name to bless me and my loved ones. Strengthen me to reject the sadness and loneliness of my day and to search for you in your blessedness, in Jesus’ name, amen!
