NO CONDEMNATION--- THE PAST OBLITERATED

hildren of the King, are you a prisoner of your past? Do the
thoughts of the past consume a large part of your day? Have you been
born again? Have you confessed your sins of the past before your
Father in Heaven and repented in and through the great name of Jesus
the Christ? If so, then in the instance that you presented your past
sins to Him he sent the beautiful blood covering to wash away all of
them! Good news! But you ask, "Father, why do I not feel
forgiven for all past sins? Why do some thoughts still nag at me and
send me into terrible sadness and even into depression?"
Excellent question! Your battle is partly because since being saved,
your own despising of the past and your foolishness for committing
such sins against your Heavenly Father are horrifying to you. They
nearly make you sick! Don't you understand child. That is good news!
It means that you really do love your Father and are still angry at
yourself for your sins. Your Father is not angry, but you still are!
The angels in heaven and all saints gone before rejoiced the day that
you were saved all heaven rejoices at the salvation of men and women.
Your rejoicing just hasn't caught up with you yet. In fact, you
should repent of self-persecution over the sins of the past which do
not exist now any longer! Here's how, "Father, in Jesus’
name I am truly sorry for holding my past against myself. I can name
things which I did, and am made ashamed by them. This is going to
stop today! I will no longer accept the condemning voice of the Evil
One against me for the past. I will not let his condemning voice be
more powerful than the blood of Jesus which completely released me
and gave me a new beginning! I will bless your name and I will not
insult you or the power of your plan to redeem me ever again, in
Jesus’ name, amen!” But, one more protest, you say,
"Father isn't it true that if I still have sinful acts or
thoughts that include past actions, then I wasn't really freed from
these sins after all?" Child no! You just have a new set of
circumstances with which to deal as does any other growing Christian!
In other words, it will help you to consider any new sin in your life
as just that--- new sin. This will help you escape the dread that you
have fallen all the way back into sin. Accept this, and you will be
encouraged to continue the good fight in the Lord!
Prayer
Father, you always know best. I thank you that the past is dead and will never again come back to torment me. You did a holy and complete job when your precious blood covered and removed all my sins. I thank you in Jesus’ name, amen!
