COMMENTARY
Just one glimpse of Jesus can warm the heart of the coldest sinner. Jesus is indeed, “The Bright and Morning Star.” (Revelation 22:12 KJV)
As Isaiah said, I saw the Lord, and he was “high and lifted up,” (Isaiah 6:1 KJV), he was able to see himself in the light of his deep need for cleansing and forgiveness. Shortly after seeing the Lord, Isaiah was purged clean of his sin and brought to a new state of grace with the Lord. The poem describes what happens after a view of Jesus’ face.
And I fell down at pierced feet,
And washed me in the flow,
Of Calvary’s precious healing stream,
So free He did bestow.
Now here is my proposal: Call upon the Lord that you might see Him in His glory. It may be an internal seeing and communion, but however it occurs, you will be forever changed by just one glimpse of His glory. One day if we continue to walk in light and love, we will pass over the River of Life into a place where we will be forever with the Lord. We will see Him continually in His glory. What a blessed day! Lord Jesus, come quickly!
