My Jesus

The Holy Word of God:

. . . and you shall call his Name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.
Matthew 1: 21b (NKJV)

My Jesus — has through our breathing of His Great Name, the power to launch a thousand mighty ships, and supply their winds to sail them around the world and back; He can beat back and utterly defeat whole legions of Satan’s worst demons, humiliating them and making them think twice before touching one of God’s anointed children; He has the power to calm the fevered brow of a tiny baby, restoring the hope in a mother’s heart that her child will live, and grow up to be the blessing for which God intended it to be in His holy plan; He can cause the most seriously suffering saint to suddenly look upward toward heaven with newfound hope and joy filling his/her heart; My Jesus — can silence the condemning evil spirit, causing him to flee and torment the child of the King no more; draw a line of sprinkled blood around the homes of His children, stationing angels with fiery swords warning away all evil attacks; My Jesus — can fill the desperate hearts of his children with new hope for a better tomorrow as they flow in the stream of His love and blessings! He can fill the empty voids in the hearts and lives of desperately lonely people, giving them real reasons to live and prosper in the midst of His life-changing love.

My Jesus can wake up the sleeping, fearful saint and fill his mind and spirit with love, knowledge, boldness and wisdom to equip him/her to walk in Light, godly understanding and exalted victory; My Jesus — can strip down naked and bare the most deceitful evil spirit, and reveal his sick schemes openly for all the world to see; He can take that same evil spirit and break and destroy his every plan against the saint of God; He can take a sick, defeated Child of Grace and heal him/her encouraging that saint in His overcoming Word, setting him/her upright on their feet, empowering them to war victoriously with the Sword of the Spirit — the Word of God! My Jesus — can flood the tormented mind of the Child of God with holy thoughts, clean pure thoughts, replacing the filth and polluted assaults by the Evil One. He can give this Child of God a true sense of being clean and holy in the Presence of His Heavenly Father; My Jesus can restore the broken marriages of a thousand oppressed couples with just one Word of love, healing and forgiveness between them. He can cause the rebellious, hard-headed child to see himself/herself as they really are, and come weeping into the arms of his/her parents with true heartfelt repentance and reconciliation. When we speak other names like John and Diane and Tom, we can have fond memories for the people represented by these names. However, when the Blessed Name of Jesus is spoken — or even whispered, suddenly, all the true intelligences throughout creation have their pulses quickened and their hearts sincerely rejoiced at the mere mention of that Great Name. It is not uncommon for the voices of a thousand angels to break out in glorious praise and adoration at the simple thought of Him. In Heaven, untold waves of time-tested, Blood-washed Christians are set to rejoicing with thunderous praise at the mention of His Name! What more needs to be said? You now know a little better the reason that I call Him “My Jesus!”

Finally, My Jesus — will watch for me to enter the last day of my life, hovering over me with His holy angels and at my last breath, He Himself will snatch my excited, glorified soul right out of this old home of mortal clay, and carry me to Heaven to enter into and enjoy my eternal home to live with Him forevermore, never to return to this sick, evil-filled world, forever to be with the Lord! Even so come quickly Lord Jesus!

PRAYER: You Lord Jesus have paid the price with your own Precious blood—the Price that entitles me to speak and even shout aloud your Holy Name! I thank you and praise you forevermore for your unspeakable gift of love to me at Calvary. In Jesus’ Name I exalt you O Lord, amen!
