It is one thing when a preacher with much enthusiasm calls the sinner to an altar of prayer to repent of sin. It is quite another thing when the Father leans over the bannister of heaven and calls the sinner back to His heart. This sermon does just that. As this message was forming in my heart, I truly believe that God became personally and lovingly involved in this call for the sinner or the backslider to return to the forgiving, loving arms of his Father. Come home, dear son/daughter! There is a call right now for you to be showered with the mercy and forgiveness of your Father in Heaven. In all your straying, God has been patiently waiting for you to come home.
